Night life

Alas, it was time for us to leave Singapore. The roads were surprisingly empty, likely due to it was a Sunday. Only a bunch of zombies on the street, still tired of yesterday’s full (free) program. A drizzle started when we put our suitcases in the bus that brought us to the airport, as if Singapore was sad that we were going to leave the Merlion city. Thanks, Singapore, for giving a nice experience of your city, it was just too short to explore you to the full extent!

In the afternoon, we moved from Changqi airport to Taoyuan Airport @Taipei, Taiwan!!! Despite the minor technical issue on the airplane, screaming babies and heavy turbulence, the japies were able regain some sleep. Some snoring louder than others.

Arriving at the airport, we had to past some checks. Besides guns and other dangerous tools, the security didn’t allow fresh fruit and food that contained any form of meat that could threaten the Taiwanese ecosystem. Some japies unfortunately had to dispose their fruit and sausages that they bought with their last money that were on the Singaporean train card. Unfortunately, the security didn’t allow Ulla and Douwe to pass through. After a short check, Douwe could gather with the japies, while Ulla had to check with a doctor. She was diagnosed with a fever, and luckily should recover soon. After this relief, we could regroup at Taipei station and depart using the HRT to our destination: Kaohsiung!!!

Finally, after arriving there at almost midnight, the japies could rest and be ready for the largest city of Southern Taiwan! Not all japies followed this healthy lifestyle, some decided to get a nice cocktail to start the adventure of Kaohsiung in style!
